We Love you Winn and you will be missed.

Grandpa loved his great grandchildren. This is Jonathan and Grandpa Winn just spending some special time together three years ago.

After not being able to get back to sleep I just couldn't get Winn off my mind. Winn was Tim's dad and he past away yesterday afternoon. I just wanted to try and write somethings down and enjoy the memories I have of him. Hopefully these memories will make sense because they are all kind of jumbled in my mind.
First Winn was such a good son, husband, father, and grandpa. He loved his family so much and it showed with everything he did. We will love you Winn forever and know that you are in a better place now without pain and confusion.
Winn and Erma were always together. They would work together and play together and were as one. They would love to play table games and it seemed whenever we would come we would spend hours playing games. It was so much fun just to enjoy time together. I know that this will be a hard passing for Erma and just want her to know how much we love you and will keep you in our prayers.
Winn loved to go fishing with the boys in our family on their boys weekend and they would have the best time. Each of them would have a homemade sweatshirt and would wear them the whole weekend. They would go and enjoy one another (Yet it seemed that they never caught very many fish) just a lot of memories were made together and experiences that lasted a life time.
When his birthday would come around I would make his favorite carrot cake and he loved it. His eyes would get all excited and he sure did enjoy his birthday cake.
Winn was a worker. He would always be busy with some project and loved keeping busy. Later, when he wasn't able to do as much by himself he would follow Tim around and help where he could. Tim just love taking his dad to the hardware store and getting the materials for the job. Then they would stop by the ice cream store and enjoy a special treat. Then back to the house where they would work side by side and talk the whole time together. A really special time for both father and son.
I'm so glad that we were able to go to Alexander's Baptism for it was the last time we were able to spend time with Winn. We love you Winn and will miss you so much. Our fond memories of you will keep you with us throughout our lives.
Love Forever Jeanne

Alexander's Baptism

Alexander was soooo happpy to be able to be Baptised this day
All those that attended---what a group.

Carla and Alexander with Christ right behind them....PERFECT

Hilton,Carla,Alexander,Nicolas and Jonathan

We had such a wonderful time at Hilton and Carla's house when we went to Alexander's baptism. Carla had everything planned out and from the meals to the baptism it was perfect. At the Vega's the house was full with brother and sister and then all the cousins (I think it was around 20 in all). Tim and I stayed with his parents and that was great.
This shot was taken at great grandpa and great grandma's house with all the grandkids. I can't believe they all fit on the couch....

Well there are a lot of memories that happen this weekend, yet the best was to see Alexander get baptised. Now I have to get ready for work and I hope everyone is doing well...Happy Fourth of July Love Jeanne

The Bite....

Yesterday while I was cooking dinner I heard a scream and a thud and then Brooklyn crying hysterically. I called to her and told her to come quick and as she came to me her nose was bleeding. I tried to find out what happen, but all she could do was cry.
Heather was there in a heartbeat and held her until she calmed down when she was able to find out that the dog next door had jumped up and bit her on her nose. She was up against the fence standing of a scooter that gave her just enough height to see over the fence of the neighbors. It took only seconds when the dog next door jumped up and bit her on her nose. Heather put ice on it and finally after awhile was able to calm her down. The dog got her good with puncture marks all over her nose. It bled for along time and then finally stopped. Heather call her doctor and told her what happen then the doctor told her to clean it up, put antiseptic on it, put a bandage on it then to come in the morning so she can look at it.
I felt so bad for her and can't believe that it happen. It was so quick and unexpected it just makes you feel so bad. I'm just glad that her nose is still in tacked and the dog didn't take a piece off. Sound gross, yet it will heal and not leave too much damage. Grandma's feel bad when terrible things happen.....

Life goes on

I know it's been awhile since I posted anything on my blog and all I can say is life just got in the way. We had a wonderful Women's Conference on Feb. 28 and Sister Wendy Nelson and Sister Sherri Dew were the speakers. It was awesome and the best part was being able to talk to them after it was over just as a Stake Relief Society Presidency. They were just sooo wonderful and Sister Nelson told me that she wasn't going to be able to come, but Heavenly Father had other plans. I am so glad He did they were both so great and the spirit was so strong I am grateful to them both for making the effort to come.
Another thing is I have joined the work force and am a Classified Substitute for the Alvord School District. It has been a eye opener and I really admire you women that work, have a family at home, and are still alive and well. Gosh, I have to be at work by 7:30am so I leave the house by 7:am and don't get home until 5pm (and can hardly move when I do get home). I really feel blessed to have a job when I know of others that are struggling to find one. Jen, our newest daughter in law, had a in with the school district (Her dad is the board president) and helped me get the job. One day they just called and said can you come today and be oriented and I was so surprised. They not only oriented me but finger printed, physical and TB test all in one day. I just started this week and have worked everyday except Wednesday and am all set up to work through next Wednesday. It is just subbing, yet I am in hopes of getting a permit position. They have a freeze on right now so at least I can sub. Well, got to go....hope everyone is doing well ....love to all
