Christmas was a full house....

Christmas this year was just perfect. Everyone was here and we had a wonderful time. The gifts were great, yet I felt the greatest of all was having everyone here during the Christmas season. Carla, Hilton and the boys stayed with us and Autumn, Charlie and their family stayed with Brent and Andrea. We had a week full of Christmas lights, volleyball at the church and Scott taught us all how to play poker. I love my family and felt so blessed to have them home for the holidays. This was the best gift of all just having everyone together and knowing how Eternity will be like. Remembering Christ humble birth and the greatest gift of all being able to be together forever. I hope that this Christmas season was as special for you. Madison got a pink scooter.
Santa (Heather) gave Brooklyn a big girl car seat....
Grandma made Brooklyn a princess quilt.

The unwrapping began.

Presents were all passed out to each family and then ....

The before picture of all the presents under the tree.

All the grand kids got new PJ's and posted for the picture.

Cinnamon Rolls, Hot Chocolate and Sausage Casserole was the menu at our house on Christmas morning.

Jonathan's 3rd BIrthday Party

Jonathan had a real hard beginning and look at him now. We were able to enjoy the party with him at his birthday party. How thankful we are for great doctors that did what needed to be done. We love you Jonathan...

Jonathan's 3rd birthday was a little bit earily this year so we could be there and he was all smiles.

Jonathan had a dinasour party and he is excited about his cake...

Pin the tail on the dinasour was just one of the games.

Some of the things we did at Carla's House

We really had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We took a trip up to Cedar City and spent sometime with Carla, Hilton, Alexander, Nicholas and Jonathan's family. It was wonderful to do so many fun things that Carla planned and I have included some pictures of just a few of the things we did. Tim's parents came over for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful to spend sometime with them. We were really busy and everyday from Wendesday till Saturday we were just having a great time.
I really feel blessed for the family that we have. I am so Thankful to my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. The plan is so perfect and to be able to be together is a goal that is so complete. Families are Forever and I am so glad for mine.

Heather had a good time riding the ATV in the rain.

Brooklyn did too

The food was great.

The kids were set at their own decorated table what fun!

Everyone enjoyed the feast.

Nicholas was the snow disk master....how fun.

Carla and her dad went for a sled ride together

Tim and I even went down the run....I can't believe they talked me into that...

Brooklyn, Alexander and Nicholas all dry, warm and cozy after the snow enjoying Hot Chocolate..

Trunk R Treat

Every year on Halloween our ward has a Trunk R Treat where families get together and enjoy the holiday decorate their trunks and make games and spend time together with other members of the ward. We always make a game and enjoy seeing all the children and adults in costume having fun. They always have plenty of hot dogs and chips so the kids don't just eat candy all night long. Our game this year was a join effort with Scott having the idea and he and his dad making it happen. It was a game where the kids would throw a ball and if it landed in a orange painted cup they won a gold fish and if they didn't they got a toy. It was the favorite of the night and won first place for the best game. Scott bought at least 80 gold fish so towards the end we ended up giving them away if they landed on the orange cup or not. It was so much fun watching the kids try to win (most more than once) and as soon as they were done they would get right back in line to try again. Everyone had a great time and it was fun just to be together with family and friends. I've included some of the grandkids in their costumes and as you can see Tim and I didn't dress up much, yet we enjoyed everyone else. Hope everyone had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Holley, my cute daughter in law, sent me some more Pumpkin Patch pictures so I just wanted to post them. One is of all the grand kids that went to the pumpkin patch and the other is the wagon full of grand kids that got a ride from Grandpa, Scott and Kevin. They all thought that was the best ride that day. Pretty cool way to get transport them around and it was free which was a real plus...

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch on Monday I just had to share with everyone what happen at the end. All the grandkid were having so much fun running through the pumpkin patch and riding in the wagon and playing together. When everyone was done the plan was to go over to Grandma's and Grandpa's to celebrate my birthday with cake and ice cream. We were putting all the pumpkins in the wagon to load them in the car trunk with Brooklyn in for the ride. Grandpa put the two pumpkins in the trunk and than picked up Brooklyn and told her she would have to ride in the trunk home so she could hold her pumpkin. She was all smiles and was ready to go even when Tim started to close the trunk up. She just sat there smiling up at her Grandpa and was ready for the ride home. Tim, of coarse, told her he was just kidding and than picked her up gave her a hug and she got in her car seat. She is such a cutie and Heather took these pictures so I wanted to share with everyone what happen.
Everyone has been so wonderful and I have enjoyed three days of dinners out, presents and enjoy my family. It isn't fun getting older, yet it sure is fun being with a wonderful family that loves me. Thanks to all Love Jeanne

I just added a new element to my blog and I just love it. Thanks Lisa (my cute niece in Las Vegas)for the amazing idea....It has been fun learning new things and being able to be more creative. This morning I was sewing a costume for Brooklyn (our three year old granddaughter) I've included a picture of her she is the one one the right with Kevin's Brooklyn on the left. She is going to be Tinkerbell this year and it has been fun to work on the costume with Heather, her mom. I'll take a picture when it is finished and let everyone see our creation.

I have decided to try and save money at the grocery store and start using coupons again like I did when I was a lot younger and had everyone living at home with us. Autumn is my inspiration and she has got me excited about trying it. The web site we joined is Coupon Sense and it makes it a lot easier than when I did it years ago. It gives you local store lists with their sales and coupons you can use than you go and shop. I am excited about saving some money and it is kind of fun to see how much you can save. Well got to go. Love Jeanne

Being Fed and Renewed

I love this picture of the Savior and feel that I truly sat at His feet and was fed by Him this weekend through His servants during General Conference. Tim and I finally got cable so we were able to enjoy General Conference from the comfort of our family room. It was wonderful to watch all day on Saturday and Sunday and listen to our wonderful church leaders. To know that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us enough to forgive us for our faults and help us to grow stronger through trials. Being grateful for our blessing and making sure we thank our Heavenly Father through our prayers was something I need to do better at. Not just reading the scriptures, but to ponder them and incorporate the lessons into our lives.
After one of the sessions they had a biography of Pres. Monson and it was amazing. From being a young bishop of a ward that had 85 widows to being a young mission president. His life was so interesting and the sacrifices he has given has truly made him the Prophet he is today.
President Monson is a Prophet of the Lord and I am so thankful for him and his counselors. I know the gospel is true, that Jesus Christ gave His life that I might have a life with my loving Heavenly Father if I will be obedient to the commandments. All must be willing to serve, even if it is hard at times the rewards are great. May those that are lost find their way back to the light to sit at His feet and feel of His love. May I be an example for others to fine their way back to the light. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen Love Jeanne

YES on Proposition 8

My family is so awesome and I love this picture at the beach on our vacation. Well, I just finish my last page of calling and just wanted to say that I am glad that it is done. Some were kind and some were not, yet I am glad that I took the time and called people to inform them of the issue of voting yes on proposition 8. Voting yes on proposition 8 states that "only marriage between a man and a women is valid or recognized in California." A yes vote on prop 8 re-establishes traditional marriage as the law, and a no vote allows the legalization of same sex marriage.

I will vote YES and I hope others will too. Love Jeanne

Beach Family Vacation

Well, it has been awhile since I posted anything on my blog. We have had a wonderful summer with going to the beach on our family vacation in June. We went to Doheny State Beach for five days and camped out. It was so much fun just to spend time together as a family and it really felt like a small bit of heaven.

Everyone was given assignment to cook and the food was awesome!!!. It was great just to have two food assignments and the food was yummy....We had tents to sleep in except for the Vega Family that brought their brand new trailer. Sometimes the showers were cold yet it was nice to be able to have a shower after being in the sand and sun most of the day. At night the kids were put to bed and the adults played fun games. Scott brought candy for the adults to share every night and with that and the gorp we all gain a few pounds.

Everyday there was something to do. This year Kevin and Holley plan the vacation and they did an excellent job. From going to the tide pools to beach excrusions there wasn't a dull moment. I tried to plan some special acctivities for the kids and we did sand candles and stepping stones. Kevin helpped with the hot wax and the kids seemed to enjoy the candles the next day when we dumped them out. Scott helpped with the concret and the stepping stones were decorated with shells that we had collected on the beach the day before.

The weather was wonderful and not too hot so I really enjoy it. Family vacations are the best and spending time together is so important especially since our family is getting further apart it is so wonderful to get together.....
